So much of our lives are spent in houses, offices, and cars. Can you remember the last time you went and walked on grass or sand…barefoot?

Have you ever noticed how relaxed and refreshed you feel after a day at the beach, being in the ocean and walking on the sand? I always have the best sleep after a day at the beach!

The ground, as in grass, sand and the ocean, are all naturally conductive materials from the Earth. In today’s society, we forget that our bodies are also electric fields and need to be ‘plugged in’ to the Earth.

Even while we are lying in bed, electric currents run through us from power points, phone chargers, TV’s, etc.

If you find it hard to get out and Earth every day, there are Earthing sheets and mats that you can buy. I have an Earthing sheet on my bed every night. You can put an Earthing mat in your car or under your office chair even.

The moral of the story is that as humans, we need to get our feet dirty and get back in touch with the Earth’s surface!
